Drew Tied to Middlebrooks?

Letting Stephen Drew go would be easier if the Sox knew that they could count on Will Middlebrooks to be their everyday 3B. Middlebrooks & Bogaerts project to be the left side of the infield in 2014. Pedroia will man 2B. If Napoli re-signs, you have him at 1B. Or you rotate Nava & Carp at 1B. If Middlebrooks can't field his position or keep a steady offensive approach, the Sox may want to return Stephen Drew for 1 more year at bigger money. More likely than not, though, Drew is gone. So the spotlight will be front & center on Middlebrooks in spring training. Should he falter, young guys like Ceccini & Marrero may get a shot at the big club.
