Cano Visits With Mets

Robinson Cano wants to be a $300 million man. Not many teams could pony up that kind of money. The Yankees have stated publically that they want Cano back, but not at a price tag of $300 million. And look at the aging players they are stuck with at the end of long-term deals now - A-Rod, Sabathia & Teixeira. So Jay-Z & Cano made a very public appearance with crosstown rivals the New York Mets. It was all PR to keep the Yankees in a bidding war against themselves. Cano is going nowhere because no other team will put up that kind of money over 10 years. Cano will be 40 at the end of any 10-year deal. I'm not a Cano fan because of his casual, don't-bother-me-with-a- ground-ball attitude. Mr. Cool with the toothpick in his mouth doesn't do it for me. Just sign with the Yankees & get it over with.
