Sox Beat Price & Rays 7-4
Not Matt Moore. Not David Price. 2 of the best lefties in the league could not stop the offense of the Boston Red Sox in the first 2 games of the ALDS. After scoring 12 runs yewsterday the Sox offense comes back with 7 more runs today. Big Papi, David Ortiz, hit 2 long balls for home runs. John Lackey was not sharp, but he managed to keep the damage to 4 runs. Relief help from Breslow, Tazawa & Uehara was excellent as the pen stranded runners & frustrated the Rays batters with the aid of 2 big double plays. It's been all Boston in the first 2. Let's finish it on Monday as Clay Buccholz goes against Alex Cobb. A great season, an improbable season, a special season continues for the 2013 Red Sox.
