Detroit Tigers - Post Mortem

Jim Leyland is expected to retire today. Some of his moves in the ALCS will forever be second guessed in the Motor City. I understand that Felger & Co. are on the Tigers for being out of shape & wearing cement shoes when running the bases. I will say that Cabrera, Fielder, Perralta & the back-up catcher Pena don't seem like they have missed many meals. Torii Hunter will be 39 next year. It seems as if the team with the best pitching rotation in baseball may not be enough as their window for success fades. Young gun Jose Iglesias is exactly what the Red Sox thought - a guy who doesn't like making the routine play, always looking to do something grander or most spectacular. Iglesias did make some great plays, but he also made 2 big miscues that cost Detroit 2 games. That's what you get with Iglesias. I'll stick with Bogaerts, thank you. It's back to the drawing board for the Detroit brass as they try to improve a poor bullpen & they try to deal with 7 more years of Prince Fielder's contract. Good luck!
