John Lackey - Set Up Man?

Because of Craig Breslow's troubles the use of Breslow & Tazawa in the same inning leaves the Sox short a man to get to Koji. No problem. John Lackey was schedule to throw a side session, so why not throw your side on the mound in the 8th inning of game 4? Lackey made his first relief appearance & got through the 8th unscathed after an errant throw by the X-man at 3B. I like the willingness of John Farrell to use whoever is available to win today. If things had not worked out in game 4, there may be no game 6. Then you would have saved Lackey for nothing! And good for Lackey for consenting to a relief appearance to help his team win. This former beer & chicken guy has really had an extreme makeover in his perception by Red Sox fans this year.
