Game 6

As Dan Shaughnessy wrote today, game 6's in the past have featured a Carlton Fisk home run & a ball that got under Bill Buckner's glove. I'm not buying into any past experiences in game 6's that the Red Sox have participated in. I'm giving my vote to my buddy Gaff. He believes that the 2013 Red Sox are a team of destiny. I think so too. It would be incredible for John Lackey to win the clinching game of the World Series, a symbol of his personal change & this team's change from a year ago. A phoenix for both rising from the ashes of 2012. No doubt Michael Wacha will be tough, a rookie with a 4-0 record in the playoffs. If you think about it, where can Wacha go from here? Only down. He reminds me of Pedroia winning a World Series as a rookie in 2007, then MVP in 2008. Where could he go from there? Nowhere but down & it's taken Pedroia 5 years of battling injuries, et al to get back to the big stage. Wacha is due for a bad game & I hope it's tonight. Big Papi is as lethal at the plate as he was in 2004. And Jon Lester has finally emerged as the ace everyone knew he could be. Let's finish it tonight, boys!
