Yankees Eliminated from Playoffs

The New York Yankees will miss the playoffs in 2013. After Sunday there will be no more Mariano Rivera. There will be no Andy Pettitte. And there will be no A-Roid for at least a year & maybe never again as he serves his steroid suspension. Besides the injuries to Jeter & Teixeira the black cloud hanging over New York in the second half was Rodriguez. Do you think any player in the Yankee dugout wanted A-Roid there? I doubt it. All other players caught in the steroid scandal served their suspensions during the year. Allowing a cheater like A-Roid to continue playing & effecting the outcome of playoff races is & was a travesty by Bud Selig. What if the Yankees would have gotten into the post-season? In 2014 the Yankees will be dealing with an injured & old Derek Jeter returning. They have CC Sabathia showing signs of breaking down & not being the dominant pitcher of the past. Teixeira is coming back from a major injury. They will need to deal with Robinson Cano as a free agent. The future is not looking bright in the Bronx.
