Sox Sweep Away Yankees 9-2
It couldn't have gone any better for the Red Sox this weekend. They sweep the faltering New York Yankees to move the pinstripers further down in the AL wild card race. Clay Buchholz was not sharp, but he limited the damage to 1 run over 6 innings & he extended his pitch count up to around 90. At least Buck is talking about his pitching now & not his sore neck & shoulder. He has time to make 2 more starts & impress the coaching staff that he is playoff ready. Daniel Nava went 4-5 & Mike Napoli hit a long HR to center. The Sox magic number is 4, so it would be great to clinch the AL East title on the remainder of this homestand with the O's & Jays. The Red Sox have 6 games remaining with the O's, their toughest AL East opponent this year. The results of those 6 head-to-head battles will determine if the O's earn a wild card spot. The Sox can certainly play spoilers to the team that knocked them out of the playoffs in game 162 of 2011. Ryan Dempster gets the start on Tuesday.

What starters do you go with in the playoffs? Right now I would use Lester, Lackey, Peavy, & Buck.
Dumpster and Doubront to the pen for long relief.
