Schedule Doesn't Get Easier

With all the hype about this Detroit series being a possible preview of the ALCS the Red Sox need to re-focus for the next 10 games as the Boston nine takes on the stinkin' Yankees 7 times & the Rays 3 times. A 4-game series starts in New York on Thursday through the weekend. After an off-day on Monday the Sox travel to Tampa for their final 3 meetings against the Rays in St. Pete. Then the Sox are back home at Fenway to take on the Yankees for the final 3 times this year. 5-5 will keep the other AL East teams at bay, unless Baltimore goes on a 10-game win streak. The Sox lead in the AL East as of today is still at 5 1/2 games as the Rays finally won last night. As important as last night's win over the Tigers was, each & every game down the stretch has that same importance in September.
