O's Beat Sox 3-2

Baltimore won on a night that the Yankees & Rays both lost, thus keeping the Birds 2 games behind Texas & Tampa in the wild card. The O's still need to overtake the Cleveland Indians who sit 0.5 games behind the wild card leaders. Anyone but New York, right? Koji Uehara's hitless & scoreless streak ended when a Danny Valencia fly to center was unable to be caught by Shane Victorino. A sac fly by Matt Weiters gave the O's a 3-2 lead that Jim Johnson would hold in the 9th. I like the fact that John Farrell let Xander Bogaerts hit in the 9th with 2 outs & a runner at 2nd. Giving Bogaerts, JBJ, Britton, Workman & others more experience in pressure situations will only help them get accustom to it for the playoffs. The loss by Tampa reduces the Sox magic number to 3 to makes the playoffs & 4 for the division. I hope they get both on this last home stand of the year.
