Nice Win by Pats 30-23
It wasn't pretty in the end, but none of the Pats 4 wins have been pretty this year. Both Tom Brady & Aqib Talib had huge games on each side of the ball last night as the Pats defeat an Atlanta team on the road 30-23. Speaking of not pretty, the Atlanta Falcons shot themselves in the foot with an early decision to pass up a sure field goal & poor decision late to try a 2nd on-side kick. Kembrell Thomkins looked good on several catches more than he looked bad on dropped balls. LeGarrett Blount rumbled for a big rushing TD, 1st rushing TD of the year for the team. And Talib got the better of Roddie White & Julio Jones more than they got him. His deflection on the last Falcons offensive play of the game on 4th down saved the win for the Pats. A Brady-Wendell fumble on a snap under center & a botched on-side catch hurt the Pats late in the 4th. But the Talib deflection with time running out preserved a hard fought win in hostile territory. Overall, you have to say the Pats are improving. A big concern was Vince Wilfork leaving this game with an injury & not returning. Let's see who's active next week!
