Ellsbury Has Fracture

Jacoby Ellsbury has a foot fracture that should heal in 1 to 2 weeks. That puts Ells back in play by September 23rd the latest & it will give him time to get his playing legs back under him before the playoffs start. Outfielders Shane Victorino, Jonny Gomes, Daniel Nava, Jackie Bradley, Jr. & Quentin Berry will hold the fort until Ells makes it back into the lineup. A hallmark of the 2013 Red Sox is the depth of their lineup & this team will continue to win without Jacoby for a short period of time.
