Bombs Away, Then Hold On

Red Sox beat the stinkin' Yankees again in New York 13-9. Over the 1st 3 games the Sox have been like Lucy holding the football for Charlie Brown. Every time the Yankees / Charlie Brown get close, Lucy pulls the ball away. You know what happens after that - the Yankees & Charlie Brown fall on their butt. I give the Yankees credit for coming back from a 12-3 deficit, but the Red Sox are just the better team offensively this weekend. Close, but no cigar Charlie Brown. Napoli's 2 homers were very nice, Xander Bogaerts 400+ foot blast was nice to see on his mom's birthday, but I thought that Jonny Gomes' 3-run blast early to make the score 5-1 was the biggest blow. That put the game out of reach for the Yankees early. Nice to see John Lackey win without his best stuff. I wouldn't want to be a pitcher in this series as these 2 teams have combined to score 58 runs in 3 games, 19 average runs per game. One more today & we complete the New York Massacre of 2013. We are the better team, period.
