Sox Win 4-1
It seems like every player called up contributes. Latest in a long line this year is Brandon Snyder. A 3-run double by Snyder propels the Red Sox to a 4-1 win over the NL Padres. John Lackey continued his torrid pitching, throwing 8 innings of 1-run ball. Koji comes in for a 1-2-3 save in the 9th. Another call-up, Jose Iglesias, chipped in with 2 more hits & an RBI to keep his BA over .400. There is a special feel around this team. While many who picked the Sox for last continue to be naysayers & fatalists about the 2nd half, let's enjoy what we have going into the 4th of July. We have a 1st place team.
