Sox Sweep Padres With 8-2 Win

Happy 4th to all! And the crowd at Fenway Park was treated to another win today, this time by a score of 8-2. Good for Allen Webster to get his 1st big league win. He threw 6 innings of 2-run ball. Good that the bullpen guys were able to take care of the final 3 frames without using Tazawa or Uehara. Even Andrew Bailey threw a 1-2-3 7th inning! Brandon Snyder had a homer to right today. The 1-2-3-4 batters in the order stay hot. Ells hit a homer to go with his multi-hit game. The Sox offense couldn't be held down for a 2nd day in a row. It's off to Anaheim to start a series against the Angels tomorrow night. Get your nap in during the day as it will be a late weekend of TV games starting at 10 PM. Then it's 4 in Seattle & 3 in Oakland before the all-star break.
