Sox Crush Mariners 11-4
The Boston Red Sox brought their bats to last night's game, scoring 11 runs for the 2nd night in a row to defeat the Mariners 11-4. David Ortiz set the record for most hits by a DH with a double & home run. Felix Doubront pitched 7 strong innings of 1-run ball. And Brandon Workman got a taste of the big leagues by pitching the final 2 innings. I appreciate the effort of Shane Victorino who is not at 100% by any means. The last 2 nights he has contributed to 2 wins with his play in RF & at the plate. I'm sure that Jacoby Ellsbury was more than ready to return to the lineup after JBJ hit a home run last night. Jake did get 3 hits to keep his hitting streak alive. Ryan Dempster goes for the series win this afternoon. Nice comeback by the Red Sox after a 3 game losing streak.
