Second Half Starts Friday
First it was the tough schedule in June after a so-so May. Then it was a recent west coast trip before the break. Now it's a 10-game stretch of games versus the AL East contenders. Reporters keep waiting for the Red Sox to falter & this weekend is no different. The unofficial start of the 2nd half begins with another "crucial" set of games against New York, Tampa Bay & Baltimore. Don't they get it - every game is crucial. Whether you beat New York or Houston it counts for the same amount of wins - 1. You play the schedule one game at a time. Don't be worrying about other teams. Control your own fate by taking care of your business on the field. If I were to predict, I think the Red Sox beat the Yankees 2 out of 3, they beat the Rays 3 out of 4 & drop the series in Baltimore with only 1 out of 3. The O's are the only team that the Sox have trouble with inside the division. So I'm looking for a 6-4 record to start the 2nd half.
