Price Pitches Second Complete Game
Two complete games in 3 nights. Unheard of in this era of middle relief, long relief, late innings relief & closers. David Price just about duplicated Matt Moore's performance of Monday in a 5-1 win over the Red Sox. The Rays are on a great roll, winning 19 of 21 or 22 games. And the Red Sox are facing them at the wrong time. However, what goes up, must come down. And the Rays will not continue their surge forever. In fact, a Sox win tonight will give them a series split against the hottest team in baseball. With John Lackey facing Jeremy Hellickson tonight I give the home team a good chance to pull off a win. A split is not bad when facing a team on a hot streak. What concerns me is the fact that the next series is in Baltimore against a team that the Sox can't seem to beat this year. The O's have added arms in Feldman & K-Rod recently. A win at home tonight to stay in first place could give this team momentum going into the weekend series in Baltimore.
