Good News, Bad News

Good news. The Red Sox beat the Yankees 4-2 to start their 3-game series. Doubront, Tazawa, Breslow & Uehara all pitched great. Ells started things off on Andy Pettitte with a homer to right. Jonny Gomes added a 2-run homer later. And Jose Iglesias dumped a big single into right to score the 4th run. Bad news. Andrew Bailey is on the DL again, this time perhaps for the rest of the season. No doubt this will start the Papelbon talk again. Cherington has more than enough options within the system to handle the workload. De la Rosa, Wright, Workman, de la Torre, Britton, Webster to name a few. Some fresh, young arms may invigorate the Sox clubhouse throughout the next 2 months. Don't go outside the system. Give these guys their chance to contribute.
