Will Middlebrooks Sent Down

Give John Farrell credit for having guts. Farrell demotes Will Middlebrooks to Pawtucket to get him playing everyday again & to get him everyday at-bats. The Sox need a power bat & Middlebrooks showed signs that he can produce - but it was too sporadic. He gets a chance to work on his swing & get back to driving the ball wherever it is pitched. Too many strikeouts with the big club. Too much pulling of the ball into easy ground outs. This trip to RI could be a good thing in the development of Middlebrooks.
