Sox Win 10-5, Take Another Series
Another 2 out of 3 wins by the BoSox, this time against the LA Angels of Anaheim. The Angels name is similar to the performance of the team -- confusing. Superstars Albert Pujols & Josh Hamilton have been subpar. Angels pitching has been subpar. And the result is a team underperforming, several games below the Mason-Dixon line of .500. As the Yankees found out years ago, signing superstars doesn't equate to World Series wins. The Red Sox, meanwhile, with lowly players like Jonny Gomes, Daniel Nava & Mike Carp just keep rolling along with the best record in the AL. Even Saltie ran into 2 bombs yesterday. The next 10 games against AL East opponents Tampa Bay & Baltimore will be a test of tightening up the AL East pack or expanding their lead. Given the way they are playing right now, I say that they go 7-3. Anyone else want to make a prediction? Come on, don't be chicken! Cluck! Cluck! Cluck!
