Sox Ride Nava, Aceves to 2-1 Win

Daniel Nava hits a 2-run homer. Crazy man Alfredo Aceves pitches 6 solid innings of 1-run ball. The bullpen gets the job done at the back end of the game. And the Sox win a tight one 2-1 to take 2 out of 3 at the Trop. It reminded me of April when Ortiz was out of the lineup & good pitching kept the Sox in these 1-run games. Like Iglesias playing well enough to stay with the team, Aceves is ready to step into the starting rotation with the big club should he be needed. Competition is good. I thought for sure that Aceves would plunk one of the Rays batters after Mike Napoli was hit. But it wasn't necessary. The Sox won on the field. Take that, Joe Maddon!
