Sox Perfect On Home Stand So Far
Can't do better than 4 wins in 4 home games. Sox beat the Blue Jays again, this time by a score of 7-5. Allen Webster was much better, even though he ran into some trouble in the 5th & 6th. He left with a 5-4 lead & a chance for a win. Then came Andrew Bailey & it was quickly 5-5 after he gave up a 2-out homer to Encarnacion. I'd find a mystery illness to put Bailey on the DL & bring up another arm from Pawtucket. Not to worry though. In comes my buddy Jonny Gomes to pinch hit with the bases loaded & he delivers the winning run with a laser to 3rd that couldn't be handled cleanly. Koji Uehara pitches a 1-2-3 9th for his 3rd save in 3 days. While the Bruins are in the news for their Stanley Cup playoff run & the Celtic are in the news for moving Doc Rivers (a low-class move by Rivers in my opinion), Pierce & Garnett & the Pats are in the news for the Hernandez murder the Red Sox are rolling right along in first place - almost under the radar.
