Sox Lose 3 of 4 to Baltimore

The Red Sox did enough to hold onto 1st place. They beat the Orioles once in 4 tries. They lose today 6-3 despite a 3-run homer from slumping Middlebrooks. Maybe that jack will get Will going again. Jon Lester could only muster 5 innings & he gave up 5 runs. Not the Lester of April & May by any means which is a concern since Buck may go on the DL. Bad break that Mike Carp came out of the game with an apparent leg injury. The Sox will enjoy a day off on Monday before playing 2 on Tuesday vs. the Tampa Bay Rays. Yankees have lost 5 in a row & the Rays lost 3 out of 4 at home to Kansas City. The Rays may have lost Alex Cobb for the season as well. So maybe the Sox are catching the Rays at a low point for them. One game at a time.
