Buck Shuts Out Yankees 3-0 Before Rain
Clay Buchholz showed no signs of rust. A 10 day layoff did nothing to dampen a great start to the 2013 season by Buck as the Red Sox beat the Yankees 3-0 in a rain shortened 6 innings. Buck gave up only 2 hits & looked very much in control of all his pitches. The Sox win this series 2-1 after splitting 4 games with the Phillies. Jose Iglesias hit his first HR of the year off of Hiroki Kuroda who looked like he couldn't believe it. Iglesias is again making his case to stay with the big team once Will Middlebrooks comes off the DL. And this time he may do it. For good measure Big Papi lofted a towering HR of his own into the upper deck in right. Then the rains came & that was it for Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN. Sox get a day off on Monday before starting a home series with the Texas Rangers.
