Sox Winning Streak Over With 2 Losses

It was bound to happen. The Sox 7-game win streak came to an end against the improved KC Royals. Game 1 featured a lack of big hits when needed in a 4-2 loss. Game 2 was a 10-inning affair where the winning run scored on a 4-pitch walk, resulting in a 5-4 loss. Positives were the hot hitting of Mike Napoli, the return of David Ortiz who had multiple hit games over the weekend & the debut of young Allen Webster. The Sox face another tough team in the Oakland A's who invade Fenway for a 3-game series starting tonight. You would think that Jon Lester would win his start on Wednesday, so Felix Doubront or Alfredo Aceves needs to win one of the first 2 games tonight or Tuesday to win this short series.
