Sox Win Series With A's

After dropping a series to the KC Royals the Red Sox got back to their winning ways with a 2-games-to-1 series win over the Oakland A's. Last night's 6-5 victory was hairy in the 9th when a ball hit by ex-Red Sox Jed Lowrie was called foul down right field line. Andrew Bailey then struckout Lowrie for the final out. the Sox pitching has come back down to eath, giving up more runs on this homestand than in the previous 2 weeks which is directly reflected in their 3-3 record so far. You have to think that the Boston bombings are been a distraction, as has the weather. Still, they are 9 wins in their last 12 tries & you will take that anytime. I will say that Lester walking a lot of batters is a bad sign. Buck, Dempster, Doubront & Lackey get the starting nods against the incoming Houston Astros. 3 out of 4 would be a good way to end the homestand.
