Sox Get Crushed by A's 13-0

It is good from time to time for a team to get the crap beat out of them. A lopsided loss lets everyone on the field know that there are no shortcuts to success. You have to give your best on a daily basis. The old saying is that no team is ever as good as they think, or as bad as they think. With one of their best starts to a new season in years the Red Sox were humbled last night to the tune of 13-0 in 7 innings vs. the Oakland A's. Aceves was terrible. Wright wasn't much better. And there's nothing like playing in the rain when you are getting killed on the field. It adds insult to injury. Let's hope that Jon Lester & the team can put yesterday behind them & win this afternoon to take this series.

Aceves is headed for Pawtucket, and good riddance. Enough of him complaining about the umpire, or his teammates' lack of offense. This guy is a punk. I never thought I would anxiously await Lackey's return.
