Sox Beat A's 9-6
The Red Sox offense busted out the big bats last night as they rode 2 HR's to victory over the A's 9-6. Will Middlebrooks hit a 3-run shot & Mike Napoli hit a grand slam to lead the Sox. Felix Doubront did a servicable job, although his pitch count seems to run high by the 5th inning of every game. Andrew Bailey had to be use again after the A's mounted a comeback with 3 runs in the 8th. It will be a tired bullpen today, so let's hope crazy man Acebves can go 6 or 7 strong. Steven Wright may get his first action out of the bullpen as he has the only fresh arm. This was a good first game win to get the Sox back on track after a long Sunday.
