Red Sox 2, Yankees 4

A sweep would have been nice, but we will take 2 out of 3 anytime to start the 2013 season, especially on the road. Ryan Dempster & the Sox lose the finale in New York by a score of 4-2. Dempster gave up 3 runs over 5 innings, including a bloop 2-run single by Sox castoff Lyle Overbay & an excuse-me HR by Bret Gardner. The starters in this series gave up 2, 1 & 3 runs in their first outings. We'll win a lot of games if that trend continues. Andy Pettitte was aided by 3 double plays & an overaggressive Shane Victorino in the 1st who almost scored from 2nd on a passed ball. Now it's off to Toronto where the favored Jays dropped 2 out of 3 to the Terry Francona Indians to start their season. Nice goin', Tito!
