Not Much From Napoli or Middlebrooks
A win is a win is a win. And while certain sports reporters try to find a negative in everything, even with an opening day win, it was hard to find fault with the Red Sox team that took the field on Monday. Not everyone in the lineup has or will have a good day every game. That's why it takes 9 guys to pull together for a win. Mike Napoli & Will Middlebrooks didn't provide much offense from the #4 & #5 spots yesterday. Middlebrooks did catch the last foul ball out of the game & Napoli did catch a one-hopper from Iglesias at first. So both had a quiet start. They are both too good of hitters not to be contributors as the year goes on. No worries. Reporters, relax. We have 161 games to go.
