Hanrahan Blows A Save
5-3 lead in the 9th. Closer in. 9 times out of 10 you win. Last night was the 1 time out of 10 you don't. A gutsy Baltimore team scored 5 runs in the 9th to steal a win from the Sox 8-5. Joel Hanrahan has given up 3 homers to O's batters in 1 2/3 innings of work. Maybe the Birds are just one of those teams that has his number. With a split in the first 2 games of this series the Sox need to win today to win their first series at home after 2 series wins on the road to start the season. Felix Doubront gets the honors.

You could be right on Hanrahan. On Monday, even the outs were crushed. He bears watching thouggh in coming series. Bailey has looked good thus far and can step in if need be. It is only one blown save, but a short leash should be in place given the current strenght of the bullpen.
