Drew In, Iglesias Out

Stephen Drew was activated on Wednesday. Jose Iglesias was sent down to Pawtucket. That needed to happen as you can't pay Drew $9.5 million & have him sit the bench. Too bad that Iglesias found his big league groove a year too late. If he had shown any type of offense in 2012, the Sox would have never signed Drew. If anything, now Iglesias' stock is rising & the Sox can plug him in as the everyday shortstop in 2014. Drew only has a 1-year deal. Or the Sox can use Drew or Iglesias as trade bait come the end of July. Don't forget that Xander Bogaerts is only a year or two away from the big club too. It's nice to have quality options.
