Big Papi Back & Productive

I was wrong. Yes, unlike others who can't admit when they are wrong, I can say that I was wrong about Big Papi cashing in his 2-year contract & starting early retirement. That was my thought when Ortiz couldn't answer the starting bell of the season after rehabbing an Achilles injury for several months. Shame on me. Ortiz is hitting over .500 since his return & he is driving the ball now for home runs. He has become a force in the middle of the lineup & his presence helps Pedroia & Napoli see better pitches. A very good sign for #34 is that he is hitting balls away from him to left & left center, not trying to pull the ball. The big man is using the whole field & is getting positive results. My comments on the demise of David Ortiz were premature. Sorry, big guy!
