Last Hurrah for Mo
Mariano Rivera, the all-time leader in saves, is calling it quits after this season. He will retire as the greatest Yankees closer ever. Mo was a machine for years in racking up save after save. Some called him a machine because he was so precise every outing. And Rivera was always at his best in the playoffs. Many of the early Yankee championships were due to Mo. He showed a lot of class at Fenway when he was introduced in 2005. Mo laughed & waved his cap when the Sox fans cheered for him after the biggest collapse in sports history by the Yankees in 2004. Mo is a special player - even if he is a Yankee. After Mo only Jeter is left of the old-time championship teams.
