Can Red Sox Be This Year's Baltimore?
Thanks to Den & Steve for sending me Red Sox articles from the Globe. I like to read what the beat guys are saying. The more I read & hear about the 2013 Sox, the more I think about what the Orioles did last year to make the playoffs. Average to better-than-average offense. Good defense. Less-than-average starting pitchers. But a shutdown bullpen from the 7th inning on. The O's won 20+ games decided by 1-run & that's how they made it in. Assuming Ortiz is out for awhile, can't we draw a parallel to this year's Sox team? If Lester & Buccholz rebound, the Sox could even have better-than-average starting pitchers. It's a thought for this Sunday.
