Marrero Invited to Spring Training

A 4th shortstop is in camp for the Sox. Top pick Deven Marrero joins Stephen Drew, Xander Bogaerts & Jose Iglesias. Most scouts sign shortstops as they tend to be one of the better athletes on the field. Many move to other positions once they join their big league teams. ESPN Boston said that Cherington hopes to stop the revolving job at SS with these 4 guys within the system. I guess time will tell.
