Patriots Post-Mortum

Given their personnel on defense & multiple injuries, I think the Pats went as far as they could this year. One game from the Super Bowl is better than 26 out of 30 teams. If you look at the last time the Pats won the Super Bowl, it was with a dominant defense. In the past few appearances against the NY Giants, the big game was lost because the defense could not get off the field at the end of games. The days of Tedy Bruschi, Rodney Harrison, Willie McGinest & co. are gone. But I would look for the Pats to strengthen their secondary & add some young guys with speed throughout. Look at who's in the Super Bowl this year. Defense wins in playoffs.
