No Progress on Napoli Deal

It's lasted over a month now with no resolution in sight. The Red Sox website says that Ben Cherington is pursuing alternatives to Mike Napoli. What can Napoli hope to gain at this point? Other teams know that he has a bad hip. He might get a 1-year deal somewhere else. The Sox are just looking for language in the event the hip acts up - which may not happen at all if Napoli plays 1B versus catching. Time to fish or cut bait. Pitchers & catchers report in less than a month. The ball is in Napoli's court. I hope both sides can get the deal finalized.
