Napoli A Red Sox - Finally!

It took about 2 months, but Mike Napoli & the Boston Red Sox finally agreed to a deal. The new contract is 1-year with a base salary of $5 million that can reach a max of $13 million with incentives. This comprise is a far cry from the original deal of 3-years & $39 million. Doesn't this make you wonder how bad Napoli's hip is to reduce the original deal so badly? But thank goodness someone did a good job on the physical so the Sox weren't stuck for 3 years. If his hip is anything like A-Rod's, we may only see Napoli for half a season. At least it's over for now & Napoli has $8 million reasons to play well in 2013. Even with his limitations, Napoli was the best option out there by far.
