Hindsight on Strasburg

The Washington Nationals shutdown Stephen Strasburg before the end of the 2012 season & before the 2012 playoffs. Results were one series & done for the Nats who were expected to go much farther into the postseason. MLB reports that the Nationals GM & pitching coach have no second thoughts. Maybe they don't, but I betcha' the Nationals fans do! Who is to say that the Nats will repeat & reach the playoffs next year? You grip the bull by the horns when you have momentum because it takes an awefully lot of things to go right over the course of a year to make the playoffs. And there are no guarantees about the future. I think they should have kept him on the shelf in April & May instead of September & October. Overall, I think it was a bad move & one they will regret in time, especially if the Nats miss the playoffs in 2013.
