Jackson Gets 4 Years, Garza May Be Traded

I look at Theo's signing of Edwin Jackson to a deal of 4 years, $52 million with the Cubs as a sign that Matt Garza may be up for sale. The Cubs commitment to Jackson, like every deal this year, is overpriced & ties up a bulk of their dollars. Garza will not resign with the Cubs when his deal is up, so Theo may move him via trade to stockpile up & coming talent. As long as the Sox don't have to part with a Jackie Bradley, Jr. or Xander Bogaerts, I'd do it. Garza is as close to a #1 starter as is still available.
