Hanrahan Deal Almost Done

The Sox are in the midst of finalizing a deal for Pirates closer Joel Hanrahan. The Sox will get Hanrahan plus one other player from the Pirates in exchange for 4 prospects from the Sox, all of the B caliber. Stolmy Pimental, a pitcher with potential, is the biggest name that the Sox give up. Working backwards the Sox can end games next year with Hanrahan, Uehara, Bailey & Tazawa. That certainly looks better than Aceves & Bard from last year. Good move, Ben. Now pull the big trade for a front line starting pitcher, would ya'!
