You might say that David Wright won Powerball, except that multi-year player contracts for a value of $100 mil plus are getting to be an everyday occurrence in MLB. Wright's deal is worth $138 million over the next 8 years. He will be 38 years old when this contract expires. I guess no one learned from the Red Sox mistakes with Carl Crawford, John Lackey, Josh Beckett & Adrian Gonzalez. Good luck to the Mets!
