Sox Interested In Dempster & LaRoche
NESN reported that Ben Cherington & the Sox are kicking the tires on Ryan Dempster & Adam LaRoche. At his age Dempster might be a good fit for a short 2-year deal. LaRoche had a career year in Washington in 2012 & chances of duplicating his 100 RBI in 2013 is doubtful. However, both would fit the mold of 2 to 3 year guys that Larry told WEEI they are looking to do as deals versus the 7 & 8 years. I'd still like to see the Sox get in on a trade with the Cubs for Matt Garza & also make a 1-2 year offer to free agent Edwin Jackson. Both are 200 innings a year guys & both are younger options than Dempster.

I agree. We have seen LaRoche already (yawn). I also think we should avoid Dumpster diving.
