Yankees Swept Away

I'm reminded of the DVD's that came out on the Boston Red Sox in 2004. One video has a fan walking down the street, smiling & saying all is right with the world. That's how I feel today now that the Yankees have been swept four straight & eliminated by the Detroit Tigers. It's a beautiful day. Their situation with A-Rod is a mess. Jeter needs to overcome a broken ankle at an advanced age if he is to play again. Mo Rivera needs to overcome an ACL injury at an advanced age to play again. There are several players who will be free agents next year. Yes, the Yankees made the playoffs & we didn't. But they, like us, didn't get the big brass ring at the end. It still Boston 2, New York 1 in the last 10 years of World Series championships. Yes, it's a beautiful day. Have a great weekend!
