Scutaro to World Series

Old friend Marco Scutaro is in the World Series. He took a roundabout path to get there. Written in as the everyday shortstop for the Boston Red Sox during the pre-season he was traded before the season began to the Colorado Rockies. Part of a salary dump so reporters said. During the season he was traded again, this time from the Rockies to the San Francisco Giants. He is the everyday second-baseman for the Giants, a team that just completed a 3-game comeback on the St. Louis Cardinals to win the NLCS & Scutaro now faces the Detroit Tigers in the 2012 World Series. Good for him! If you are going to get traded twice in a season, you might as well end up on a team that contends & he did. The Giants get one day to catch their breath before the series starts on Wednesday. I'm rooting for the Tigers, though.

I will be a Tiger fan as well in honor of our friend Jeanne. However, good for Marco. As Lobel used t say, "Why can't we get players like that?"
