Do We Really Want John Farrell Back?

By all accounts John Farrell is the leading candidate for the job of next manager for the Boston Red Sox. I'm not sold on Farrell & I think the Sox could do better. Yes, he was a good pitching coach & knows the current big arms of Lester & Buchholz. But he has failed as a manager in Toronto which is the job opening here. And his teams are known for making the same errors over & over again. How about we make a completely fresh start? Try Ryne Sandberg or Joey Cora or Mike Lowell. Look at the job Mike Matheny did in St. Louis after the loss of Big Albert. A fresh, young face may be just what is needed in Boston after a seasoned manager failed.
