One More Week to Go

The 2012 baseball season for the Boston Red Sox will be over next Wednesday. Yes, it has been difficult for Red Sox Nation fans to watch the final weeks after the big trade to LA & the loss of David Ortiz. But it's almost over. Guys like Pedro Ciriaco, Daniel Nava, Mauro Gomez & others have been auditioning for next year's team and/or showcased to scouts for trades. The "real" season starts October 4th. Rhetoric is already starting from David Ortiz about the club's disrespect of him via a 1-year deal. Maybe he finally gets a 2-year deal if he proves himself healthy. And then there is the question of what to do with Jacoby Ellsbury. And then finding a replacement for Bobby Valentine. And then finding a middle-of-the-order bat to compliment Ortiz. And then starting pitching. And on & on. There should be a story every week during this off-season. I can't wait.
