Lavarnway, Gomez Fuel Offense in 8-5 Win

It's a chase for last place, but the Red Sox won their opening game in Toronto 8-5. In large part it was thanks to the 3-run homer by Ryan Lavarnway & a big 9th inning, 2-run triple by Mauro Gomez. As only Dice-K could do, he gave up 3 runs in the 3rd inning without the benefit of a hit - something pretty hard to do even for him. Dice will be gone in 2013, but Lavarnway & Gomez could see a lot of playing time next year.
